A Message From Your Favorite Vendor
We had an exciting year in 2011 and by the looks of things 2012 will be even better. I wanted to take this opportunity and share with you some of the changes in our organization and how they are going to benefit you. Additionally, if we are not your favorite vendor, please provide your shipping address for a complimentary gift of a dozen live chickens from our cage-free farm in Kaunas, Lithuania (one of the most successful DevBridge startups, if measured by production of eggs).
We closed the year strong - thirty strong, to be exact. Having started 2011 with a team of twelve our numbers (and expertise) have nearly tripled. We have restructured our project workflow to include a research & discovery, wire framing, design, prototyping, development, and testing phases. We have a total of five teams that can work on projects concurrently, increasing our throughput capacity dramatically.
DevBridge Does Mobile
For 2012 there is a big focus on mobile (see my previous article) and that includes mobile applications, mobile websites, and responsive web design (learn more about what responsive web design is). One of the exciting announcements for this year is that we have expanded our mobile team to five developers and can support all popular platforms.
One of our customers, Load Delivered, was recently featured in Crain's Chicago Business due to the innovative way they're utilizing mobile technology solutions built by DevBridge in the logistics industry. You can learn more about the work we've done for Load Delivered in our case study.

New Hires and Services
Our hiring frenzy has extended to other departments, too. Two new creatives joined our ranks and in addition to design services we will be offering video production services at the end of Q1. We have heard great feedback from customers about filmed testimonials being used as social proof (check out the video in the upper left on American Digital's case study), so don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re interested. Due to popular demand we have also hired an online marketing specialist that will be focusing on SEO, PPC, and mailing campaigns.
Office Move
We are also very excited to announce that DevBridge Chicago will moving it’s offices on June 1st to a new space just down the street. We’re getting a totally sweet custom buildout in a loft with close to three times the space we currently have. We’re sad to leave this office, but the current developer density per foot is reaching critical slapping match levels.
Launched Projects
Last but not least, we wanted to showcase some of the projects launched in the recent months:
- Intelligent material handling systems by Wynright.com
- Physicial solutions from Currence: Medcurrence.com
- Startup for buying up old electronics: Tronicbuyer.com
- OpenType Feature demo for Microsoft: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Graphics/opentype/opentype-monotype/index.html
Dear clients - thank you once again for helping us get where we are today. We apprecite and love the opportunity to be your technology partner and wish you an exciting and growth filled year.
