Augustinas Šimkus

Augustinas earned his Bachelor’s Degree in IT Engineering from the Kaunas University of Technology. Before joining Devbridge he worked for Hostinger and UAB Itoma. At Hostinger, he started out as a Customer Support Specialist and was then promoted to Technical Specialist, a role that involved migrating websites and solving more complicated client issues. At UAB Itoma, Augustinas was a PHP/Laravel Full-stack Developer where he was involved in both programming and project management. As a Junior Software Engineer at Devbridge he is focused on using the skills he has to create great things while also improving upon those skills and expanding his knowledge. Augustinas is not afraid to hear criticism as he understands that is an important path to improvement. It’s important to Augustinas to always be making progress, and he is proud of every step he’s taken in life that has moved him forward.

Augustinas balances his free time with active hobbies and quieter activities. He loves team sports, especially football, though he also enjoys playing and watching e-sports. Augustinas likes to relax by binge watching TV and has seen The Office and American Crime Story multiple times. One of his newer hobbies is caring for bonsai trees.
