Laura wanted to be a lawyer when she was growing up, but she ultimately stepped onto the path that led to the computing world when her grandfather gave her a PC Junior and the video game, “Gertrude’s Secrets” (which was about a goose named Gertrude), at which she excelled. Though she loves her current job, she figures that if she wasn’t working for Devbridge right now, she’d probably be living in the south of Spain teaching English. Laura did a stint in Seville that ended in 2008, when she went home to try new career possibilities, but she’s still tempted by the lure of living overseas. To that end, she’s completely dependent on WhatsApp and Gchat to stay in touch with her friends from other lands.

In her non-work life, Laura enjoys going to yoga classes and reading — some of her recent favorite books include The Lowland, The Namesake and The Shadow of the Wind (The Book Cemetery). If she could have any super power, it would be the ability to fly, and her favorite things to eat include weird Asian food of all varieties — the spicier, the better.

The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
