Linas enjoys the outdoors, and his dream non-software job would be to work as a National Park Ranger somewhere in the United States or Canada. If he were to take on this job, his preferred superpowers of running fast and jumping high would likely come in useful as he dealt with the unexpected and sometimes dangerous demands of the natural world.

His first experience with what computers can do was using a computer at his mother’s workplace, where punchards were used to input calculations. He was about five years old at the time, and was fascinated by the way pressing a key made a symbol appear on the screen. Now, his favorite function of computers is the variety and ease provided by e-shopping.
There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation and naming things.
