An often overshadowed aspect of building great products is ensuring these products are reliable and perform as expected. Similar to physical products, the quality of a digital product has a large impact on the customer/user experience. Typically, a quality assurance (QA) or testing team leads this effort. But, what is the difference between QA and testing, and does it matter? We believe so, and so should you.

Rasa believes that checking should be automated, while testing is what actually makes a difference in quality. And that’s why as Director of Testing at Devbridge, her goal is to enable testers actually test and not just check software. Her very first job was working with her brother to build a concrete composition calculator (formulas had been created by her grandfather). The first version was in Pascal. The program (initial and later versions) was sold and used in several major concrete factories, which isn’t too bad for an 11th grader. She likes spending time with her family, reading, experimenting with cooking and baking.
