Rutenis sold his first web page at the age of sixteen. Even though he was earning money designing web pages at that age, entering the workforce with computers as a career was not his goal. Instead, Rutenis wanted to work as a philosopher or be elected to Parliament. Ultimately, though, he entered school to learn computer science and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Computer Software Engineering. While earning his Master’s degree, Rutenis worked on a neural computer interface system that gives people the opportunity to write text using forehead EMG impulses instead of their hands.
In addition to technology, Rutenis enjoys movies, and is especially a fan of “The Matrix.” Given the opportunity to have a superpower, Rutenis would choose to be able to predict the future.
