Ferrari-red polos, matching sneakers, and a booth with a race car simulator aren’t things you usually see at a banking conference.
But last week at Sibos, the world’s premier financial services expo, the goal was not to blend in, but rather to showcase how Devbridge Group is different—a faster, more transparent partner to financial institutions.
On Oct. 16, the red-clad Devbridge team set up shop in Toronto, the conference’s host city. There, we showcased what we do—help banks rapidly turn ideas into extraordinary customer experiences—on one of the world’s largest stages.
We deliver custom software at ludicrous speeds. As a fun way to showcase this, our booth was home to a Forza Motorsport 7 racing simulator. Throughout the four days of the conference, we had over 100 drivers rip through the Top Gear test track vying for the best lap time. Each day, the driver with the best lap time took home an Xbox One bundle prize—needless to say, the competition was fierce. (Check out more event photos here)
In between hot laps, we talked about today’s opportunities in banking. Conversations focused on the speed and cost savings that can be obtained through Agile and DevOps, operational transformation, and investment in emerging technologies.
On the conference’s opening day, Devbridge president Aurimas Adomavicius led an open theater discussion, “Moving at the speed of FinTech: How banks can adapt and excel,” in which he highlighted four disciplines companies can use to accelerate software to market. We also had some monumental announcements at the expo. On the conference’s opening day, we announced our expansion to London, a move that will allow us to better serve our European clients.
