Ed has a long history in financial services and more than 25 years in various technology positions, including IT architecture, application development, infrastructure, and service delivery. In Ed’s previous role as a Senior Solutions Architect at BMO Harris Bank, a subsidiary of the Canadian multinational Bank of Montreal (BMO), Ed provided architecture direction and oversight to channels technology teams on strategy, direction and future vision. Ed was an advocate for microservices, hub/messaging and service-oriented, architecture-based design aimed to take BMO from legacy patterns of batch to real-time processing to remain competitive in a land where FinTech disruption continues to steal market share.

“As our clients move from batch, legacy systems to faster integration, and embrace the digital transformation ahead, Ed’s industry experience and knowledge of legacy financial services technology and leading-edge technologies will serve our clients well,” said Devbridge’s President, Aurimas Adomavicius.

Ed’s last major project with BMO involved the leading-edge technology, blockchain. Ed was part of a consortium of the five major banks in Canada in partnership with SecureKey to build upon the success with SecureKey Concierge ID. The new prototype and soon to be implemented Verify.ME blockchain Identity will go live soon.

Prior to BMO, Ed led the architecture and development of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security & Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) pre-qualification processing system while at JPMorgan Chase, and helped to build Net Advantage / First Chair Technologies from an 8-person team to more than 200, providing leadership over its Application Development for its Chicagoland customer base.
