We are looking for a Director of Product Design to lead our growing design team in the Chicago office. You will be a part of a focused and passionate management team that has grown the business at a rate of 50% year. You will be challenged to accelerate this growth by building our design practice to be known as the leading digital products practice locally and across the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Research, define, and mature the digital design practice
Grow the design team by helping Team Leads hire 2 to 3 new members each quarter
Maintain a high utilization for the team and assist the sales team in pursuing new business
Be a tireless advocate for the user and evangelize the importance of user feedback, and data-driven decision making in informing great design
Contribute to company design thought leadership
Requirements
10 years of experience as a user experience and design professional
2 years of experience leading, managing design teams
Design portfolio with examples of digital product design, and information visualization
Ability to travel up to 20%
