As Human Resources Business Partner, you are responsible for the operational mechanics behind the people of a high-growth technology organization that is simultaneously joining a broader company through a recent acquisition. The HRBP will work closely with teams in Canada and the US.
You will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of Devbridge. The HRBP is responsible for effective execution of human resources initiatives such as performance and talent management, organizational development, training, and employee engagement. The HRBP assists in the administration of compensation, compliance, and leave of absence programs.
Responsibilities
Build effective working relationships with others across all functions, including product and executive leadership and talent acquisition
Support the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring the employee experience contributes to increased retention and company culture
Support annual programs, such as performance evaluations, continuous learning objectives, engagement surveys and metrics, compensation planning, talent assessment, and succession planning
Maintain HR systems for talent management, learning management, and compensation
Maintain in-depth knowledge of HR practices as well as federal, state, and local laws
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, implements changes as needed
Assist with activities related to integrating processes and systems between Devbridge and Cognizant
Manage and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations and terminations
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
3 - 5 years of related experience operating successfully in the HR space of a fast-paced organization
Understanding of the technology industry, including market forces, trends, and constraints
Proven history of taking initiative; doing, not just talking
BS or BA degree
Experience partnering with executive leadership and talent acquisition throughout the entire employee lifecycle
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certificate preferred

This position is based in Chicago, IL. We have a hybrid working model requiring 3 days per week in the office and allowing for 2 days per week remote.
