You understand, to a high level of detail, the projects your teams are working on. Sitting in on a sprint demo gets you genuinely excited and you make that excitement infectious. You don’t mind picking up the phone to deliver challenging news, then jump into the trenches to help make the most of the situation. You are approachable, trustworthy, honest and ideally have a good sense of humor.

We’re looking for someone who knows a thing or two about selling professional services in the software space. We sell highly sophisticated services and your approach to selling must convey the creativity, technical acumen, and raw delivery capacity of one of the leading technology consultancies in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate relationships by communicating effectively at all client levels including executive

  • Quickly grasp client business and technical requirements and fit Devbridge Group solutions around those specific needs; leveraging subject matter experts for pre- and post-sales strategy

  • Visit potential strategic clients, present company capabilities, working regularly with outbound sales team and Product Managers to close deals

  • Drive revenue by building opportunity pipeline and achieving sales targets

  • Maintain and nurture existing strategic client relationships through regular visits to ensure mutual success. Generate client visit reports for distribution

  • Take ownership of the client relationship


  • 5+ years track record of success in direct sales or account management, business development experience including selling web, mobile, software solutions or projects;

  • Exceptional understanding of web projects and technologies;

  • Demonstrated level of comfort with consultative/solution selling approach;

  • Expertise in Financial Services, Banking, Technology, or Manufacturing vertical markets is beneficial;

  • Proven history of taking initiative; doing, not just talking;

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;

  • BS or BA degree, MBA preferred.
