Job description

Devbridge Group is looking for a seasoned professional who understands selling professional services in the customer software space. As a Strategic Account Director you will be at the forefront of our sales process – researching leads, qualifying prospects, and targeting outbound clients.

We sell highly sophisticated services and your sales approach to selling must convey the creativity, technical acumen, and raw delivery capacity for one of the leading technology consultancies in Chicago.


  • Successfully develop and manage the strategy and plan to expand Devbridge’s services into Fortune 1000 companies that are not existing clients
  • Build relationships and land 2-3 meetings per month allowing our Practice Leadership Team to meet with C-Level decision makers at Fortune 1000 companies
  • Formulate and execute best practices in generating leads and tracking opportunities
  • Develop professional network through associations, memberships, networking events, speaking engagements and/or community activities 


  • 5+ years of sales experience in a management consulting or custom software environment
  • Demonstrated track record of successful ability to sell solution based project work
  • The ability to transform initial conversations into thought partnerships eventually leading to revenue generating project work
  • Quality transition skills, moving leads down the pipeline onto the next step of the sale
  • Experience scoping and managing strategic consulting engagements in a top-tier consulting environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) to present complex value propositions to C-Level executives
  • Passion to build relationships, contribute to the growth of a business, and work with a fast-growing team of ambitious professionals

You will work with:

  • Our Chicago office’s Marketing Team, Managing Directors and Practice Leadership Team of experts in software development, technology, product design and project management
